How To Find The Correct Part For Your Appliance

How to find the right part for your appliance (quick guide + full steps)

Finding the correct part is easy on our site. Here is the simple version, then the detailed help below.

Quick version

  1. Find your appliance model number.
  2. Type the model number into our website search.
  3. Browse the results and pick the part you need.
We group parts by model, so items that appear are set up for your model.
  4. Add to cart and check out.
If anything looks off, ask us and we will help you confirm before you buy.

Step 1: Find your model number

Your model number is the code that identifies the exact design of your appliance. It is not the serial number.

It usually looks like a mix of letters and numbers, sometimes with spaces or dashes. Examples: EWF14742, WA85R6350BW, OR90SLBGX1.

You can find it on the rating label sticker or plate on the appliance.

  • Fridges/Freezers: Inside the fridge wall, behind a drawer, or on the side of the door frame.
  • Washing Machines: Around the door frame (front loaders) or under the lid (top loaders).
  • Dryers: Door frame or behind the door.
  • Dishwashers: Inner door edge or side wall.
  • Ovens/Cooktops: Door frame, behind the lower drawer, back of the unit, or under the hob.
  • Rangehoods/Microwaves/Small Appliances: Inside the unit or underside label.

Step 2: Search the model number on our website

Use the search bar and type your model number exactly as it appears on the label.

Our search is set up so that results are grouped by model. We have taken the time to list models an item fits, so parts that show up under your model are selected for that appliance.

Scroll the results until you see the part you need, then open the product page to read the details.

Some brands show the same part number across many models. That is normal. If your model appears in the compatibility list on the product page, you are in the right place.

Step 3: Choose the part and buy

Open the product, check the photos and description, then add it to your cart. If your model is listed, the part is set up for that model.

If you are not sure between two parts, ask us before you purchase. We can check in our supplier diagrams and systems for you.

If you are in a hurry, you can still buy now and leave your model number in the order notes. We will double-check fitment as your order comes through.

Why did only a few parts appear for my model?

There are two common reasons:

  1. We may not have listed every part yet.
Some models are only partially listed on the website. We can almost always still supply the missing items. Email us with your model number and a short note like “door seal” or “upper spray arm” and we will find it for you.
  2. The model number was mistyped or not the right number.
    Check for these common mistakes:
    • Letter O vs Zero (O vs 0)
    • S vs 5
    • I vs 1
    • Extra or missing spaces or dashes
    • Using the serial number instead of the model number

If you are ever unsure, send us a photo of the rating label and tell us which part you need. We will do the rest.

What exactly is a model number?

Model Number: Identifies the type of appliance. Many customers have the same model number.

Serial Number: Identifies your individual unit. It is unique to your machine and not helpful for searching parts.

If the code you have looks very long and unique, or includes date codes, it may be the serial. Go back to the label and look for “Model,” “Model No.,” “Product Code,” “PNC,” or “Prod. No.”

Still stuck? We are here to help

Message us with:

  • Your model number (and Product Code/PNC if shown)
  • The part name you are after, or a photo of the area on the appliance
  • Any photos of the old part if available

We will reply with a direct link to the correct item or a quote to supply it if it is not listed yet.

A note about superseded or changed parts

From time to time a manufacturer supersedes a part to a new version, or a listing becomes out of date. Rarely, this can mean a product appears for your model but is no longer the correct option.

  • If you buy a part that we stated is compatible with your model and it turns out it is not, we will help you return it for a refund or help you swap to the right part.
  • If you picked something without your model listed, or the wrong number was used, contact us and we will work through your options.

Our goal is to make this simple and accurate for you.
