Oven elements are one of the most frequently replaced components in electric ovens. If your oven has stopped heating, is only getting partially warm, or isn’t cooking evenly, the heating element is often to blame. Depending on the model, this could be the fan-forced element, bake (bottom) element, grill (top) element, or a combination. These elements wear out over time due to high temperatures, food splatter, and regular use especially if the oven is used frequently or at high heat settings.

Signs that your oven element might need replacing include:

  • No heat or only partial heat when the oven is on
  • Uneven cooking results or cold spots
  • A visible break, blister, or burn mark on the element
  • The oven trips the power when turned on (caused by a shorted element)

We supply replacement oven elements for nearly every major brand sold in New Zealand, including Simpson, Westinghouse, Electrolux, Fisher & Paykel, Elba, DeLonghi, Bosch, Smeg, Robinhood, Indesit, Ariston, ILVE, Whirlpool, Samsung, and Parmco. Most replacement elements are model-specific, but many are fairly easy to swap out with just a screwdriver and no special tools required. In many cases, the element is secured with two or four screws and connects via standard terminals at the back of the oven wall. Always make sure to switch off power at the wall or fuse box before starting the job.

If you're unsure which element is right for your oven, just send us your model number (usually found on the oven frame) or a clear photo of the model sticker. We’re always happy to help identify the correct part.
