This is the complete water tank for all Samsung RSH1, RSJ1, RSH5 & RSH7 models that have an icemaker and water dispenser. The water tank isn’t just supplied on its own in the hope that you will know how to replace it as are some that are available to buy. Our parts all come with full printed easy to understand step by step fitting instructions, with the sole intention in mind that somebody that has never attempted replacing a part such as this before, will now be able to do so with confidence and ease. All parts supplied are the latest modified parts that Samsung insist are now fitted to their appliances. These water tanks replace the older ones and have stronger bonding on the resin to help reduce the risk of further long term leaks.

The original water tanks were blow moulded, which invariably led to a varying thickness on the wall of the water tank, thereby potentially resulting in leaks in some of the thinner parts. The tubes of the original water tank are heat welded, which can also cause leaks.

Samsung have therefore completely re-designed the water tank, and it is now injection moulded, and the water pipes are now fitted to the water tank rather than being moulded reducing the potential of long term leaks.

This water tank is for anyone who would like to do their own repair on their Samsung American Style Side By Side Fridge Freezer that has any of the following symptoms:

• No water flow through the water dispenser, but ice still being produced in the ice maker.
• Water on the floor inside the fridge or even leaking out of the fridge door on to the floor.

Your fridge freezer may not necessarily have both of these faults, and there can be an underlying problem in the fridge that has caused the water tank to freeze the water inside it. Finding a leak on the tank is very straight forward. Simply remove the drawers from the bottom of the fridge, and look closely at the water tank. You can even release the two screws securing it, to pull it away giving you even greater access to see it. If you ask a companion to now attempt to fill a cup or glass with water from the water dispenser in the usual way, this will create pressure in the system, and you will be able to see if water is dripping out of the water tank. If it is, you have confirmed that your water tank has a leak.

This kit is for particular models of Samsung fridge freezers that have both an ice and water dispenser. First, you will need to check your model number. This can be found by looking inside the fridge compartment on either the left or right hand side wall at eye level, or most of these models should have a barcode type sticker on the outside of the appliance on the bottom left hand side, bottom right hand side or on the back of the unit. If your model number begins with any of the following format of letters or numbers, this kit will be compatible:-

• RSH7U...
• RSH7Z...

There are several variations to the last 3 letters on the model number, so as an example RSH1DBRS, or RSH1JBBP, or RSJ1FERS, or RSH5UBMH, or RSH7UNRS are all typical model numbers that this water tank can be fitted to. If you’re unsure, please email us, and we’ll be able to tell you straight away.
